Some of the classes offered at this year’s Academy sound kind of similar, so here is a quick clarification: The Linux Essentials class is the most basic; it is for anyone interested in learning how to run Linux, whether for MUMPS, VISTA, or something else. The GT.M Administration and Operations class would be next; it is for system administrators interested in GT.M on Unix. It is advantageous, but not necessary, to know the material in the Linux Essentials class before taking the GT.M class. Finally, the Technical VISTA Systems class is for system administrators running VISTA. People taking this class should already be familiar with GT.M, or Caché, or both, in addition to knowing Unix or Linux.
We have our first silver sponsor! Kitware, Inc. will be sponsoring the VISTA Expo & Symposium for the first time, and doing it in silver style. Corporate sponsorships are still available, with options to suit companies of all sizes. See our Sponsorship page for details.
